Appreciate all the good things in your life.
This one is so easy! The human brain has evolved in such a way that we tend to scan our world looking for negative things and possible dangers. But you can retrain your brain to start looking for all the positive things that are going on in your world. This is a habit that is guaranteed to make your ordinary life feel extraordinary. As Shawn Achor writes in his book, The Happiness Advantage, the best way to retrain your brain is to write down three new things you are grateful for, every day. The best time to do this is first thing in the morning or last thing at night. I do it at the same time I'm setting my intentions for the day.
